CAW Takes to The City of Tribes

College Awareness Week team members had the enormous privilege of attending the annual National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals conference in The Galmont Hotel, Co. Galway.

The two day conference included a chance for the CAW team to engage in consultations and advice clinics with principals and deputy principals across the country. These events included how to engage with CAW through social media channels and how to tailor your CAW event to students needs. One principal from Co.Cork praised CAW’s vibrant media presence which always “encourages students, parents and community members to get involved.”

College Awareness Week’s commitment to innovation and inclusion of all student’s regardless of their post-secondary plans were noted as NAPD Director, Clive Byrne happily stood and posed for pictures by our colourful stand. Conference speakers included Richard Bruton T.D, Minister for Education and Skills and Mary Keane, President of NAPD.

Our team members had a wonderful time engaging with educators, policy makers, principals and deputy principals throughout the conference. The College Awareness Team would like to extend a huge míle buíochas to all at NAPD and The Galmont Hotel for their kindness and hospitality during our visit. Even our most-dedicated team member Siobhan managed to get CAW-coloured flowers for the occasion!
