Coláiste Bríde hosts Pathways To Success awards ceremony for College Awareness Week 2019

Yesterday night (20th November), to celebrate College Awareness Week, Coláiste Bríde in Clondalkin brought together parents, students and the school community to celebrate the successes of their students. Parents and guardians undertook a ‘Pathways To Success’ journey, with a passport each, mapping out how they can support their student as she prepares for her future. They joined group sessions to learn more about college, access and different routes to further education and training. Students hosted presentations on their school activities, post Leaving Certificate Options and a study skills workshop. Parents/guardians will have a ‘passport’ which maps out how parents can help support their daughters learning journey as she prepares her own future pathway to success.

Here are some highlight pictures from the event.

CAW aims to inspire and inform all students about the importance of having a post-secondary education plan. It advocates for students to have the choice to pursue the course best suited to their interests, abilities and dreams, whether that is a PLC qualification, an apprenticeship or a university degree.

This year CAW will enjoy strong support from the Union of Students of Ireland, after USI Congress voted in April to support the campaign and encourage student union representatives in all Higher Education institutions to become involved.

College Awareness Week gratefully acknowledges the sponsorship of Perrigo, the Higher Education Authority, Trinity College Dublin and Solas, the Further Education and Training Authority, and commends their dedication to the betterment of communities and Irish society through enhanced educational experiences.
