Goal setting, building resilience, positive mindset: some lessons learnt from rowing an ocean.

23 November 2022 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Back in May of this year, Dr. Karen Weekes, a lecturer at Munster Technological University (MTU Kerry Campus), rowed into Barbados after 80 days alone at sea, becoming the first Irish female to row the Atlantic Ocean solo and unsupported.
Karen will share some lessons learnt, centred around the planning and mental skills required for rowing an ocean, which are transferrable to students’ school progress and everyday lives to LC, 5th year and TY students.
