IADT host ‘Songwriting School Competition for Budding Singer-Songwriters’

An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating until 3 December 2021

IADT are calling all budding singer-songwriters to enter our competition ‘New Beginnings’.
We want you to write and perform a song that reflects your experience of the recent past and looks ahead to the future.

Entry to the competition is open to senior cycle students i.e. Transition Year students, 5th and 6th years.

Send your entries before 5pm on Friday 3rd December to songcomp21@iadt.ie attaching an MP3 audio (not video) recording (up to 3 minutes) together with a transcript of the words of your song.

Please include your name, the name of your school and what year you are in.

The two winning entries will have the opportunity to record their song during the Easter Break in Temple Bar, Dublin with assistance from the Creative Music Production team.

The student judging panel from our BA (Hons) Creative Music Production Level 8 course will choose the winning entries which will be announced before Christmas.
