Mary Immaculate College hosts ‘ Thurles Open Day’

The MIC Thurles Open Day on Saturday, 23 of November (10.30am -2pm) is an event not to be missed by aspiring post-primary school teachers. The Open Day is running as part of MIC’s activities marking College Awareness Week– the national week of celebrating going to college and showcasing local role models. MIC Thurles now boasts six degrees that have an education and school placement component and include combinations of Business, Theology and Religious Studies, Accounting, Gaeilge, and Mathematics.
Attending the Open Day will provide students, and their parents, with a great opportunity to get a feel for the warm close-knit learning community that is MIC hurles. Those who come along will also be able to sit-in on programme talks, tour the campus and experience what college life is all about. Information will be available on MIC’s undergraduate entrance scholarships, worth €2,000 each, on offer to first year students undertaking study at MIC Thurles. In addition, attendees can find out about the range of accommodation, sports scholarships and CAO Concession Schemes, student academic and well-being supports, and the linkages to MIC Limerick.
