The College Awareness Team are delighted to be able to say that with the presence of Minister for Higher Education, Mary Mitchell O’Connor, the attendance of a Perrigo representative, NAPD and the help of the GAA, Croke Park and all at the Ericssson Skywalk, our College Awareness Week soft-launch was a brilliant success. Students, teachers and educators from St. Mark’s Community School, IADT, NCAD, Marino Institute of Education, UCD and TCD. This year also saw the inaugural Community Mentor programme which as launched in conjunction with CAW.

Students, teachers, educators, community workers and members of the minister’s office braced the cold, heights and their fears all in the name of CAW 2018. Student representatives from each of the five institutes stood tall in their jumpers and t-shirts across the city-scape as the posed with our colourful CAW banners.

In the true spirit of CAW,  Between quick and windy snapshots from our CAW photographer, Reuben Noyes from IADT, Elaine Harrington and David Monaghan from NCAD,  Sadaka Ozifa Ali from Marino Institute of Education, Audrey Kongolo from UCD and Ruairi Myler from TCD all answered the CAW call to arms and represented their institution.

Their difference and interesting life-paths proved to embody the CAW message as Minister Mary Mitchell O’Connor encouraged a “campaign so full of personality” as she endorsed the CAW mission in allowing student to choose the correct life-path from them no matter what the sector. It was a brilliant day for everyone involved.
